Doug Martin

Doug Martin has been illustrating for over 30 years, and his approach to illustration is rooted in his early years as a fine artist. Graduating with Honours from the Ontario College of Art, Doug spent time at the Cite des Arts in Paris where he painted and exhibited as a fine artist before moving into illustration. Doug has won numerous awards throughout Canada and The United States from such organizations as How, Communication Arts, Creativity, and The Art and Design Club of Toronto. He has also been featured in Studio Magazine and Applied Arts, with awards from both magazines as well. Doug paints in acrylic on board and canvas. His illustrations are meticulous and detailed, with a somewhat surreal quality. Doug's work has been used for advertising campaigns, book covers, packaging and corporate communications throughout North America.
